Question:
In the bible God speaks of insence and spices both in ceremony and in worship. Very recently a friend of mine and I have become very interested in vaporizing medicinal herbs like chamomile, jamsime etc, and i began to wonder, if the bible specified what kinds of spices God said were for ceremony, so i could look them up and see which ones would have medicinal effects? I have read some of the bible, but i am certainly no expert and would appreciatw a bible pro to lend me a hand here?

The only herb worth burning is the bud from the cannabis plant. I highly recommend it.
you’ll get more high if you vape pot instead.
in fact, ive never heard of anyone getting high from vaping chamomile.

Incense was important because of smells.
Meat and other foods didn’t keep long—- in biblical times, there was no refrigeration, so things rotted. Incense, spices covered that up… along with sweaty bodies.
Spices were used in foods originally to cover the taste of rot. (Sorry, that’s just the truth)
People couldn’t often bathe. Clothes were not regularly washed. Folks didn’t usually have many clothes, so they were often very dirty.
It had very little to do with religion per se.
Later, it became a part of the religious doctrine, but wasn’t originally.
